The Adventures of Buddy Williams Fall Book Tour 2014 officially kicked off on September 4th with a visit to Coles Book Stone in Chako Mall in Nelson, BC.
Since then, author Ken Budd has been the focus of nearly two dozen store signings, library readings and other community events from Cranbrook to Winnipeg. And there is still so much more to come. This weekend (September 20 & 21) Ken visits all corners of Saskatoon as he promotes the book series closer to its roots.
On Monday afternoon, the completed Adventures of Buddy Williams series will make its first visit to North Battleford, where the many of the ideas, memories and landscapes for the series were first experienced.
Here is a little positive feedback from the tour so far:
Hi Ken!!
Thought I would send this off so you have the names in writing….. We LOVED your visit to our little library!! It is always a thrill for us to have visitors but especially someone who knows our area and has so much history and emotions tied to it!!! So wonderful!…. Thank you again for coming!
The board members that were there that evening were Charmaine Loewen (treasurer), Shirley Charlton and Susan Jensen. Our three brothers were Spencer, C.J., and Bryce O’Hara and the young lady was Kaitlyn Brook. One of the young teenagers was one of my summer student employees, Tina Peters. She was particularly thrilled to meet a real author as she is an avid reader and so was very intrigued by your explanations of how the process unfolded! I hope you realize what an impact you made on our little group…. We all adored your enthusiasm, humor and fabulous talent at bringing your stories alive for us! Thank you again and safe travels!!
With warmest regards,
Shannon
